GFCFSF Animal Crackers Back in Stock!

I just got an email alert that the chocolate Orgran animal crackers are back in stock on Amazon.

These things are great - they are GFCFSF and also free of eggs, yeast, nuts, and GMOs. When you order through Amazon you get 8 boxes. Each box has 9 servings; a serving size is 6 cookies (but my kids can tear through a box easily on one sitting). I actually ordered 2 boxes. I'll take some to my son's pre-school and some to my daughter's school. Keep some at home for when other kids come over, because these are yummy for even non-GFCF kids.

HURRY! These never last long (and I'm not joking). They ship from Australia, and they're not always available. (If you can't find them in stock on Amazon, try Allergy Grocer.)

I just reordered as well... always, always, ALWAYS have these on hand (like you said - at school, in my purse, at the grandparent's house). I sometimes make little sunbutter or almondbutter sandwiches with these cookies (the vanilla as well).

The vanilla version are back in stock on allergygrocer.com... at least they were yesterday.

I noticed the marshmallows came and went in one day on amazon... missed those... darn it all! I'll have to move faster next time.

Jeanne: We have the marshmallows (Eleyon) at our Whole Foods, both in big and mini sizes. I would be happy to send some to you. - Tori

You are so sweet... just tell me where the marshmallows are in the store. We haven't been able to find them in our Whole Foods. I'll look again once I know the area in which to focus my search! ;-) If I cannot find them, I will definitely take you up on that offer... I'm dying to make some yummies with the marshmallows (plus Charlie loves marshmallows).

At our WF, they are in the "ethnic" section, specifically the Kosher food section. With matza and gefelte fish and such. It maybe a function of the number of people requesting kosher food in your area...?

I'm assuming you've investigated these? The vegetable gum makes me nervous for soy, but you usually do a lot of research. These are in fact GFCFSF?

Sorry to sound doubtful, maybe I'll look for a blogpost that says you emailed them! :)

Hi Julee. Yes, I researched the Orgran products. I received information from them in Australia via email, and then I also got a call from the distributor in New York. Their customer service is great, and I trust their facility in Australia. Here is some info from them re: soy (sent on 7/21/08):

"We are happy to advise that most of our products are manufactured on gluten free, dairy free, soy free, and egg free site. Thus there is no chance of cross-contamination from gluten, dairy, soy and/or egg for those products.

We do however have few products that contain / may contain soy, but we assure you that they are all produced in a separate manufacturing facility. These products are clearly labelled and include:

- Fruit Filled Blueberry Bar
- Fruit Filled Apricot Bar
- Fruit Bar
- Muesli with Fruit & Almonds
- Molasses Licorice

Hope that helps!
Tori :)
