Overcoming Swimming Issues with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD)

Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) / Sensory Integration Dysfunction (SID) *can* be improved through biomedical treatment, including dietary changes, supplementation, yeast treatments, digestive enzymes, and elimination of bacterial overgrowth and viruses from the body.

This is a part of our story...

I just cried when I watched your son swimming! How amazing! Our two year old is on the spectrum and also has SPD and SID. When we started EI at 17 months, we'd stopped taking her out of the house because everything was SO overwhelming, she just screamed at everything and was miserable. I don't think anyone who doesn't have a child with sensory issues can understand how something as simple as getting into a car seat or being in the grocery store can be painful! Swimming, now that's some impressive stuff! Congrats!!!

i am so emotional after viewing this. My son won't get his clothes wet and would never even go out on rainy days. My life is hell right now. I read your story complety and it's like we have the same boy. I only wish we could speak.

I just came across your blog searching for new GFCF recipes to try. I am 17 and have lived with mild SID, I read about your son and my mouth dropped halfway through, everything you had described had occurred during my life. I decided to become GFCF when i was 14, with my mother. We are now GFCFSF and she is free of all grains. When i was young i used to literally projected vomit after consuming baby formula, my mother and i laugh at it now knowing the reason was the dairy, and my body rejecting it. But at the time doctors would tell my mother that i was fine. I had horrible audio issues, my core strength was zero ( I used to only sit in a W shape as well), tantrums like no other, those "zone out" times, and obsessively organized (I still am to this day). Those "zone out" times can be fixed in 30 seconds with a powder form of magnesium mixed in water. It is sort of a miracle. I know what you are going through with your son, I was there for 14 years.... He is just lucky he got to be GFCF very early on in life. :D best of luck! And Congrats on the swimming! Its a great accomplishment with us SID kids.
