Cook Fest at Anna's

On Saturday, June 28, 2008, fellow GFCF mom, Anna (right), hosted the first GFCF Cook Fest at her awesome home in Maryland. Also attending was GFCF mom Heather (center) from Baltimore.

It was fantastic! We each brought pre-made food to share, and we each cooked a recipe or two in Anna's kitchen. The idea was simple: (1) Learn some new recipes and "tricks" from other GFCF moms, (2) bring home some new foods for our kids to try, and (3) HAVE FUN!!!

Anna made:
Pumpkin cookies
Bean and cheese quesadillas
Chicken nuggets

Heather made:
Meatballs
Hummus

I made:
Breads from Anna (egg-free mini loaves)
Turkish lentil soup
Saturday chicken
Mashed potatoes with hidden cauliflower

Everything was delicious, and we have planned a 2nd Cook Fest for August! I can't wait! THANKS, ANNA!
